Saturday, February 7 at theAstronomical Observatory of Asiago in Pennar, there will be a cultural meeting to watch "very closely" the behavior of comets: a highly fascinating world that always attracts the interest of many participants.
Especially from 18.00 hours you will be able to participate in "Comet Lovejoy and the colors of the stars", with the aim of understanding how the astronomers manage to obtain information on the stars by their colors: various lamps, which will simulate as many stars, form Rainbows of light from which you can extract information.
Participants will be equipped with special glasses for viewing of the Rainbow of any light source (excluding the Sun).
The meeting will continue with a visit to Galileo Telescope, placed in the first of two Domes. The telescope was recently renovated, targeted intervention to the entire optical system , thus increasing the efficiency and the degree of usability.
In case of clear weather, you can observe the passage of Comet Lovejoy and the planet Jupiter remotely with Schmidt telescope cima Ekar.
