Commemoration at Piazzale Lozze a cura degli Alpini, Monte Ortigara 6-7-July 8, 2012
Friday, July 6 , and Saturday, July 7, 2012, at Lozze Square, on Mount Ortigara (Altopiano di Asiago), will take place the traditional commemoration of the Fallen in the great war.
Like every year the event will be created by the Alpini and will attract many people ready to remember their loved ones.
The Ortigara was the scene of battle of the first world war, so it is a very important event nationwide.
Friday, the commemoration will begin at 18:00 and will be available from the food stand degli Alpini for dinner.
The same program will be repeated Saturday, but will last for the whole day, then you can also have lunch if you wish.
Sunday, as usual, there will be the annual pilgrimage on Mount Ortigara with Holy Mass at 09:00 in front of the column of mozza.
11:00 a.m. mass will be repeated to Alpine chapel at the Rifugio Cecchin; as in previous days the food stand is available for lunch and dinner.
This commemoration is organized nationally in remembrance and honour to the dead, missing and maimed of the 1st World War on Mount Ortigara.
Many people organize themselves with tents and whatever else and spend three days in this place.
