Homage to Venetian painter Khosrau Dusi, curated by Maurizio Mottin; Rotzo August 8

Thursday, August 8, 2013 20.45 hours given at the Rotzo elementary schools, will hold an event to honor the great and little known artist Khosrau Dusi, Venetian painter who worked at the Court of the Tsar. The evening is curated by Maurizio Mottin.

KHOSRAU DUSI

Khosrau Dusi attended theAccademia in Venice, where he was a pupil of the painter Theodore Mornings. Spent the early stages of his training to portraits, passing following the creation of paintings in historic character and the sacred. Married in the year 1831 Antoinette, daughter of Bartolomeo Ferrari.

In Italy we can count among his works the curtain of the renovated Teatro La Fenice in 1837. Much of his artistic production is located in Tyrol. Between 1843 and 1856 he assiduously the city Saint Petersburg, where he became known and appreciated soon became painter to the Court.
