Asiago Festival concerto per violoncelli

Monday, August 17, 2015, at 21.00 at the Church of San Rocco at Asiago, a concert will be held valid for the 49th Edition of Festival Asiago.

Piano: Alissa Firsova: Maacha Deubner, soprano, cello: Julius Berger, cello: Hyun-Jung Berger Riccardo Mauroner.

Dmitri Smirnov (1948): Tiriel op. 41 c poem for cello and piano
Elena Firsova (1950): Tristia op. 2 145 for soprano and piano
Alissa Firsova (1986): Fantasy op. 29 for cello and piano
Sergei Rachmaninoff (1873-1943): Sonata in g minor op. 19 (1901) for cello and piano
Hyun-Jung solo Berger, 1-Lento-Allegro Moderato-Allegro scherzando, 2-, 3-, 4-Andante-Allegro Mosso
Dimitri Shostakovich (1906-1975): Sonata op. 40 for cello and piano

ALISSA FIRSOVA

Alissa Firsova is a anglorussa composer, pianist and conductor. After winning the award in the BBC Proms/Guardian young composer in 2001, has received numerous positions such as theadaptation of Bach for the 2010 festival which was represented by Andrew Litton and broadcast on live on RPO BBC 2 and BBC Radio 3.
His music has been performed and brought on tour from Imogen Cooper, Henning Kraggerud, Dante Quartet Netherlands Blazers Ensemble, Seattle Chamber Players, Soloists Philharmonia, Northwest Sinfonietta and Britten Sinfonia.
Recently she was invited to the Verbier Festival as a composer with future mandates included a piece by the Bergen Philharmonic.

Alissa, as pianist, premiered in 2009 at Wigmore Hallhas and appeared at festivals: Dartington, Cheltenham, Presteigne, Messiean at Southbank, Fuerstensaal Classix and in Seattle. He has collaborated with artists such as Stephen Kovacevich, Stephen
Isserlis and the Dante Quartet. Alissa has recently completed the postgraduate course as the Director of orchestra at the Royal Academy under the leadership of Colin
Metters, where he had the opportunity to work with Martyn Brabbins, Jac van Steen and Mark Shanahan.

He founded a whole in 2010, Hamilton, on the occasion of the celebration of the 60th birthday of mother Elena Firsova.
