Sunday, July 31, 2016, in the Cathedral of St. Matthew to Asiago held an extraordinary concert, organized by the municipality of Asiago and thecultural association Mousikè .

Matthäus Passion BWV 244 is by Johann Sebastian Bach, oratorio for soloists, choirs, Sopranos in stuffing and two baroque orchestras. Interpreters Harmonic Theatreensemble, directed by Daisy from the old, with the lead vocals of Marcus Elsäßer, in the role of the Evangelist, Alberto Spadarotto, Christ, Diana Tan, soprano, Luciana Pansa, tall, Maximilian Beltrame and Francis Toso, bass.

The execution of the St Matthew passion BWV 244 by Johann Sebastian Bach is certainly a live musical event without precedent. This is perhaps the greatest oratorio written on the Gospel text for a work of genius of art and science which was J.S. Bach. Written in 1727 for double choir of St. Thomas Church in Leipzig, this great page was also beloved by Bach himself, who rewrote completely fair copy to give to mankind a summa of the musical art. For the text of the Gospel of Matthew (chapter 26 and 27) and the comments that are inserted on the same-German poet Picander-Bach composed a drama where is composed of all the compositional forms of the time, the Venetian practice of double choir, already tested in the Motets, theextreme use of the voices and instruments to the limit of their possibilities, a huge fresco to express the suffering of Christ and the love of God the creator.

The narrative is entrusted on lead vocals of the tenor, who sings in the form of recitativo secco, and thus also for the characters of the story, Judas, Peter, Pilate, the high priests; for the part of Christ, entrusted to the bass voice, the recitative is accompanied by the strings, so easily recognizable. In conversation with the Evangelist the double choir, the agitated crowd, which dramatically underlines the story. The Chorale, performed in choirs assembled, is present in all the passion, describing with great sadness and affection the believer's soul in front of the events. Some melodies, repeated several times throughout the songs, there are notes in the Italian rhythmic version, comments full of sweetness and emotion. The team will consist of two choirs and two baroque orchestras, a third train young Sopranos also will support the role of "Sopranos in" stuffing ".

The Harmonic Theatre is an ensemble that from the year 2000 he specialized in the execution of great works by J.S. Bach with the direction of M° Michael Radulescu, executed in Vicenza and shown throughout Italy. For the occasion the ensemble is directed by Daisy from the old, already a student and Assistant of maestro Radulescu, who with the Teatro Armonico and Matthäus Passion has made this past spring a first tour with four executions, in prestigious venues in Cremona, Verona, Vicenza and Venice.
