Monday, November 1, 2021,at 21.00, in Asiago,at the Millepini theater,the ASIAGO CHOIR presents"Remembering Mario Rigoni Stern",a special evening of songs and texts to remember the Asian writer on the centenary of his birth.

Free admission by reservation at the Iat of Asiago.

Participants must wear a mask and be in possession of a valid green pass,except in the cases of exemption provided for by law as per Legislative Decree no. 105 of 23/07/2021.

ASIAGO CHOIR

The "Asiago Choir" was founded in 1952 by a group of friends belonging to the parish "schola cantorum", who decided to get together to learn the songs of the S.A.T. of Trento, animated by the passion for the mountains and for singing, supported by the friendship that had been created between them.

The debut took place on August 16, 1952 in Asiago on the stage of the square of the "Prunno", with the name of "Asiago Choral Group".

Many years have passed since then and the Asiago Choir has won a leading role not only in the cultural panorama of the Plateau, but also of the Veneto Region.

In his first years of life he proposed the songs of tradition and the Great War; all this not as a sort of re-enactment for its own sake, but rather with the intention of proposing "true" stories, pages of life lived, in order to reflect on the errors of man and on the uselessness of violence.

With the passage of time the Asiago Choir has expanded its repertoire, turning its attention to other aspects of popular singing, to what is called the "new chorality", seen as a possibility to enrich its cultural baggage and thus also propose other types of musicality.

Currently the Choir is formed by elements that come from various municipalities of the Plateau; this has allowed him to grow, numerically and technically, assuming a district dimension never known before.
