Snowshoeing, following the path carved out between the historical and forest paths of Valmaron and Marcesina, we will talk about Vaia, its impact on the environment and its inhabitants. First the destruction and then the reconstruction... exactly as it was with the Great War.
The territory of the Municipality of Enego was one of the most affected by this meteorological event that caused the felling of about 350,000 trees (almost all spruce), involving an area of about 1,000 hectares. Along the way, we'll come across several works of art made from Vaia wood.
An emotional snowshoeing , surrounded by history and nature, aimed at making everyone aware of the impact of man both in the short and long term.
Reservations are mandatory.
DIFFICULTY: 2 on a scale from one (very easy) to five (challenging). The route runs through mountain paths and dirt roads. The difference in height is less than 200 m, there are no exposed sections.
WHAT TO BRING WITH YOU: mountain boots, layered clothing suitable for the mountain climate, waterproof jacket, water for the duration of the excursion, possibly a small snack such as dried fruit, hat.
COST: €15 for the guided excursion per person, €10 for children under 15 and season ticket holders.
Snowshoes and poles can be rented: €10 per person.
In the event that there is not enough snow, you will proceed on foot without the aid of snowshoes.
