From Thursday 25 to Sunday 28 August 2022, the hamlets of Roana are preparing to host the traditional CuCu Festival: four days of traveling shows through woods and meadows with artists from all over the world who will enchant citizens and tourists with mime shows, theater, acrobatics, clowning, juggling and music in the "International Festival of Street Art".
Street artists of all kinds are ready to enchant you with their magic tricks, their sensational performances, their comedy, in the evocative panorama of the Plateau of the Seven Municipalities.
Admission to all shows is free and free.

THE ARTISTS OF THE CUCU FESTIVAL 2022
ACQUALTA TEATRO (Italy) - Equilibri (itinerant show)
Balance is the leitmotif of our show: the indissoluble bond between man and Nature, a delicate and precarious bond that keeps us close... We need a perfect balance, a give and take, a balance made of respect and harmony. The show will be conducted by a Kobold of the Woods, Crochet, the Kobold who deals with the Ties. We will find the Sorceress Libra, with the art of Stone Balancing, Nib the Guardian of the Tree-Poet, a special tree that invites you to linger and devote attention, and finally the Nymph Bia, Artist of Verticalism. He lives in hollow trees and plays with fallen trunks defying precarious balances. A musician will be present during the entire show and will create the right atmosphere enhancing the natural theater of the Woods.
ALÌ AKBAR RAHATI NOVER (Italy) - Evergreen (juggling)
Are you black? Do you have the bill in red? Spent the night in white? Have you seen all the colors and it's not enough for you?
Here comes the spectacle of the three-time most monochromatic international champion of the year. At least being broke is a style choice.
The show was born from a long experience of interaction with the public.
It aims to present a series of disciplines and juggling tools forgotten over time.
CIA ES (Spain) - Tei Tei (street theatre)
It is a show that at every step creates a new scene with a single element: the white ribbon. The complicit help of the public will be the basis for consolidating an ephemeral path using urban space as the main support. A way to go. A path to inhabit and transform through the imagination of abstraction and ours. Every corner, every wall, every lamppost, every traffic light, every individual... supports and foundation are possible to create the unique moments that will shape Tei Tei.
CIA ZEC (France) - SEGUIME - WORK IN PROGRESS
She comes from the mountains, from a life of beliefs and customs related to the land and nature. His journey begins like this: free, naïve, with eyes full of love for life. But a stranger, a mysterious character, tries to invade his land. Confused by this encounter, she no longer knows how to deal with it. Even the stranger is upset by this wild side that makes him discover a very particular universe. Between struggles, stumbles, curiosity and learning, each one transforms, adapts to the other, tries to find a balance. But not everything is as simple as it seems when you speak another language, when you think backwards, when you embrace what nature has to offer!
CIE LA DOUBLE ACCROCHE (France) - A Travers (acrobatics)
A life, a picture, limits, some chosen, others imposed, a path between the lines, in search of a space of freedom.
As in a playground, a large screen in the middle of nature, this device of two-level wires, crossed by a tightrope walker and a cellist, invites you to look ahead, to share a piece of life, to contemplate a landscape.
COMPAGNIA ONARTS - Giulio Lanzafame (Italy) - Yes Land (clown, acrobatics)
Yes Land is a circus show flooded by the clown!
What at first glance may seem like a chaotic house is, in reality, the universe of Giulio, an eternal traveler in search of approval, who tries to put order.
Not everything runs smoothly, but every hitch becomes an opportunity to find the positive side of things and have fun and entertain the whole family!
DEKRU (Ukraine) - Light Souls (pantomime)
Four figures dressed in black and made up in white enter an empty scene and with the sole use of the body evoke the most imaginative scenarios. Anime leggere accompanies the viewer on a journey full of laughter in the comedy of life, between poetry and social satire, with a look that is both ironic and delicate. Spiritual heirs of Marcel Marceau, the Dekru are an award-winning quartet of Ukrainian mimes whose physical virtuosity has amused and moved viewers around the world, including Pope Francis and the jurors of Ukraine's Got Talent and Tu sí que vales Italia.
SELVAGGIA MEZZAPESA (Italy) - Cuore Matto (aerial acrobatics)
When the heart is so light that it flies away, out of the chest...
Between acrobatics and dexterity in the air and beyond, Selvaggia will take us to live the different phases of love and with her beloved heart will guide us in a poetic universe where we candream and get excited with her.
