Books
Friday, August 5, 2016, at the Museum of the Cimbric di Roana, there will be an interesting evening dedicated to the theme of the great war.
In particular, during the meeting entitled "Fritz Weber and Roana", read some descriptions of the war from the book " stages of defeat", work considered among the main eyewitness accounts of the great war.
The evening will be curated by Horace and Federico Azzolini.
THE STAGES OF THE DEFEAT
The great war chronicled across enemy lines, the Austrians. To describe the carnage of mass attacks, terror bombing and hell of the trench is a Lieutenant of artillery that during those long months he lived the ups and downs of the conflict on all sectors of the Italian front. A work of great historical value that at the same time reflects the emotional effects of a shocking experience, made of sweat and blood, courage and resignation. From the Highlands of the Isonzo River at Caporetto to the latest offensive from the Piave Pasubio in June 1918, the autobiographical dimension expands to involve the fate of hundreds of thousands of men. All equal in horror, all victims of the fire that burns the Nations.
FRITZ WEBER
Fritz Weber, officer of the austro-Hungarian army during the first world war, he gathered his testimony on the conflict in memorials that represent one of the landmarks of the military historiography. We remember the war in the Alps (1915-1917) and Stages of the defeat, both published by Mursia.
