DESTINATION: Malghe di Conco - Asiago plateau and the Seven Municipalities (VI)
The huts represent tradition and are about to embark on the path of recognition as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
A whole day of emotions, from dawn until evening among the huts.
It will be a day where the hiker savors the sun and being outdoors away from stress, in the middle of the woods and pastures admiring the breathtaking views that range up to the Po Valley, the Euganean and Berici hills, arriving with a look at the Venice lagoon and the Apennines.
The guide, telling the historical and cultural evolution of the mountain huts of the Plateau, will lead the hiker to get to know some Malghesi with their stories and traditions, interpreting the landscape and will take you on a journey through the history of this place, also telling the peculiarities of flowers and plants that live there. Along the way there will be stops with a tasting of alpine cheese.
During the excursion there is (not mandatory) lunch in the hut on a panoramic terrace with a view towards the plain with the following menu:
– Homemade tagliatelle with meat sauce or alpine butter;
– Cutting board of fresh and aged malga cheeses with sopressa; polenta and cooked vegetables;
– dessert made in the malga;
– water, wine, coffee and mountain liqueurs.
Reservations are required.
DIFFICULTY: we assign a difficulty 4 on a scale from 1 (very easy) to 5 (challenging)
The route develops between mountain paths and dirt roads through meadows and pastures of the Altopiano dei Sette Comuni. The difference in altitude uphill is less than 600 m.
The excursion starts from the square of Conco and includes the passage on 4 huts along ancient communication routes; the start is scheduled at an altitude of 830 m, reaching the maximum altitude of 1,300 m s.l.m.
TO TAKE WITH YOU: mountain boots, layered clothing suitable for the mountain climate, waterproof jacket, water for the duration of the excursion (at least 1.5 liter), a small snack such as dried fruit, sunscreen, sunglasses, hat. Possibility of LUNCH IN MALGA (not mandatory).
COST: 25 € per person for the guided excursion. 10 € for children under 15 years (including cheese tasting).
COST FOR LUNCH IN MALGA: 15€ per person.
