Guided nature walk in search of fossils with Asiago Guide
Wednesday 11 August 2021 from 9.30 to 12.30
Destination: Monte Corno – Asiago Plateau and the Seven Municipalities (VI)
Did you know that in the Plateau were found fossil remains of crocodile and one of the most famous marine reptiles of all time, the Plesiosaur?
Walking among the sedimentary rocks and in particular on the "ammonite red" we stop to observe the remains of the animals.
Nothing is immobile, nothing is immutable!
Along the way we will see how the landscape has changed over time, looking at the territory as an open window on history, where the traces of every era remain among the quarries, in the beech woods, on the stones of the huts, the pastures ...
Reservations are required.
Mandatory personal equipment of mask and disinfectant gel.
DIFFICULTY: we assign a difficulty 2 on a scale from 1 (very easy) to 5 (challenging).
The route does not present particular technical difficulties, it is suitable for everyone and develops between dirt roads, mountain paths some stretches of asphalt road, rarely busy and a rock maze! The difference in height uphill is less than 200 m, there are no exposed sections.
TO TAKE WITH YOU: mountain boots, layered clothing suitable for the mountain climate, waterproof jacket, water for the duration of the trip (at least 1 liter).
COST: € 15 for the guided excursion. 5€ for children under 15 years.
