Guided excursions
Guided walk with Amateur Astronomers with Asiago Guide
Tuesday 10 August 2021 from 20.30 to 23.00
Destination: Cima Ekar – Asiago Plateau and the Seven Municipalities (VI)
This peak was chosen by the University of Padua to build the largest Italian telescope.
Although today light pollution makes scientific research difficult, the quality of the sky of our plateau is more than optimal for star observation with thenaked eye!
After crossing the beech forest you reach an area dedicated to grazing where you can enjoy a splendid view of the central basin of the plateau.
Here you can lie down with your nose up and get lost in observing the myriad of stars that the darkness of the mountain allows us to see while you will be told scientific and mythological curiosities about the stars!
Reservations are required.
Mandatory personal equipment of mask and disinfectant gel.
DIFFICULTY: we assign a difficulty 3 on a scale from 1 (very easy) to 5 (challenging).
The route is a ring and does not present particular technical difficulties. It develops between mountain paths and dirt roads. The difference in height uphill is less than 350 m, there are no exposed sections.
TO TAKE WITH YOU:mountain boots, layered clothing suitable for the mountain climate, waterproof jacket, water for the duration of the trip (at least 1 liter).
COST: € 15 for the guided excursion. 5€ for children under 15 years.
