Wednesday 22 July 2026, 9.30 – 12.30
Destination: Boscon - Lemerle area in Cesuna di Roana - Asiago Plateau 7 Municipalities
Event co-financed by the Municipal Administration of Roana and organized in collaboration with the pro loco of Cesuna.
Among fir forests, flowery clearings and silent places of memory, we retrace the traces left by the British soldiers who arrived on the plateau during the First World War. A little-known page of history that saw thousands of young people cross Europe and the world to fight in these mountains.
Trenches, military cemeteries and other signs still visible in the landscape will become the stages of a story made of courage, sacrifice and distance from home. Men from the different territories of the British Empire found themselves living and fighting in an environment completely unknown to them.
Through stories, testimonies and readings of the landscape, the guide takes you on an exciting journey through time, to discover a link that still unites the Plateau to the Anglo-Saxon world.
