Opening of the exhibition "the CESUNA" by Giorgio Spiller, Cesuna di Roana, May 15, 2016
Sunday, May 15, 2015, at 17.00, in the garden of Cesuna di RoanaLemerle Bar, will be inaugurated the exhibition "the refugees from Cesuna".
The exhibition curated by Giorgio Spiller tells, through a large drawing of 6 metres which represents Cesuna and pre-war plateau and through some panels dedicated to stories gathered among the last surviving of the profugato, the tragic events of the great war and, in particular, the history of the refugee camp of Cesuna which, because of the beginning of the Strafexpedition, left their country and were greeted at Campiglia dei Berici.
Through the panels of the exhibition, will come alive the stories of Don Andrea Grandotto, parish priest of Cesuna, and great writers. In addition, they will also display photos of fallen 26 of the village of Roana.
For the occasion, Tullia dalle Carbonare will read some excerpts from testimonials, while Don Deborah G, parish priest of Cesuna in ' 96, will return to visit the villagers to tell the cultural exchange between the communities of Cesuna and Campiglia dei Berici occurred 20 years ago, when a group of Campiglia Marittima went up to Cesuna to interview the last surviving and give then the population to Cesuna a small but significant publication about it.
The opening will take place at 17.00 hours, in the garden Bar Lemerle.
