Step by step we enter the forest of fir and larch trees, where we will learn about the main species of plants in the upper area.
Here we follow the main road to the summit of Monte Verena (2020m) from which you can enjoy an incredible 360 degree panorama,both on the Alpine Chain and on the Plain.
The imposing Forte Verena, an Italian war work of the First World War,has dominated this peak for more than a hundred years. Its ruins make us take a dip in the past that takes us back to the first days of the war and to deepen the various aspects that characterized the "War of the Forts".

Together, in the quiet of the mountains, we can therefore "not forget" and feel even more grateful for these times of peace, with the tranquility and well-being that comes with it and we enjoy today.

Mandatory personal equipment of mask and disinfectant gel.

DIFFICULTY: we assign a difficulty 4 on a scale from 1 (very easy) to 5 (challenging).

The route does not present particular technical difficulties, it is characterized by the presence of mountain paths, mule tracks, tunnels and some stretches of asphalt road, rarely busy. The mule track is located overlooking the Val d'Astico, the route is safe from the presence of handrails, but it is still exposed. The difference in height uphill is less than 500m.

TO TAKE WITH YOU: mountain boots, layered clothing suitable for the mountain climate, waterproof jacket, water for the duration of the excursion (at least 1 liter), a small snack such as dried fruit, sunscreen, sunglasses, hat, front stack, PACKED LUNCH.
