Film screening of "Mountains in Flames" of 1931, the 17 August Lusiana

Saturday August 17 at 21.00 o'clock at Piazzetta del Tiglio in Covolo, Lusiana will be screened the film war "mountains in Flames" by Luis Trenker and Karl Hartl.

FLAMING MOUNTAINS

The film was a production franco-German. At the same time as this version, it was filmed a French -language (Les Monts en flammes), at the hands of Luis Trenker, who reprised his role of Florian Dimai, while all other roles were given to actors in France.

In the 1932 Universal Pictures made an American versionentitled Doomed Battalion; created by Cyril Gardner, this version saw Luis Trenker in just actor's role, and used some scenes from the original version in German.
The original version was filmed around Innsbruck.
