THEATRICAL EXCURSION "FRAGILE FLOWERS" MONOLOGUE BY ACTOR RICCARDO BENETTI
June 10-25, 1917: Battle of the Ortigara, Calvary of the Alps. World War I.
When my father told me about it, it seemed a long way off to me. What could I learn from a story that happened in the mountains a hundred years ago? What did I have to do with those people?
"At the beginning of May they started to arrive up thousands, mountaineers, skiers and targets from all over Italy, with some we didn't even understand each other talking. We were all there for the same reason, but no one knew what it was. We understood it on the day of the first assault: if it made sense to stay alive, it was to defend every bòcia, every woman, left at home waiting for us."
"Fragile Flowers, Ortigara 1917" is a theatrical monologue to tell one of the most terrible episodes. in one of the most nefarious moments in the history of mankind. Made happened a century ago, but still laden with a deep teaching, hidden among those distorted rocks, that raped vegetation, those holes, those tunnels, those remains of shacks and trenches carved into the rock, those marble tombstones and bouquets laid to the memory.
Riccardo Benetti, professional actor and environmental guide will accompany you to discover a piece of history told thanks to the theater. Absolutely to see.

WHO WE ARE - PLATEAU GUIDES
We "Highland Guides" are the first group of professional guides on the plateau. We are local guides operating on the territory of the Plateau of the Seven Municipalities since 2008. The membership of the place by the members of the group ensures an intimate knowledge of the proposed goals and a deeply respectful approach to the environment and its history. Our Guides are recognized mountain professionals and registered in the register of the Province of Vicenza; they propose to accompany groups of people on excursions and guided tours in the territory, as provided by L.R. No.33 of 04/11/2002 and according to the laws of the professional books of which fan is part.
READING THE DEGREE OF DIFFICULTY:
FACILE: The route takes place on forest roads, dirt roads or easy mulees always well indicated and without orientation problems in cases of fog or bad weather. IMPEGNATIVO: These itineraries require a lot of experience, training and physical strength from those who travel them. it is necessary to know how to move expertly even in dangerous terrain: gravels, steep slopes or steep stretches, thick scrub, high and unreferenced, passages in rock, absence of springs.
