MEETING: 8:30 am at the Bar at the Asiago Station OR 9:00 am at the cemetery of Fontanelle di Conco, near the post office of the village (attention to the almost no telephone reception in the area)

EXCURSION DEVELOPMENT:

Historical-naturalistic excursion between the districts south of the plateau, among woods and pastures kissed by the sun, with vast views of the plain below.

Starting from the village of Fontanelle di Conco, we will proceed, always on forest roads or little frequented paths, in the direction of the so-called "contrade davanti" (the southernmost villages of the old municipality of Conco) and then begin to climb, along a CAI track (sometimes steep), towards the village of Rubbietto: along this path we will have the opportunity to admire the vegetation of the place, very different from the extensive fir formations that characterize the central basin of the plateau and also with our eyes we will always observe from higher up the underlying Po Valley-Veneto, being able to admire the distant Venice Lagoon in case of a clear day. Arrived at altitudes close to 1000m above sea level, always accompanied by wide and spectacular views, proceeding on the ridge of some reliefs we will begin to descend towards the valley of Fontanelle, crossing characteristic districts partially abandoned and wrapped in a melancholy charm.

EASY: The itinerary takes place on forest roads, dirt roads or easy mule tracks always well indicated and without orientation problems in cases of fog or bad weather. MEDIUM: The itinerary definitely exceeds three hours, it is more complex, it takes place on a path with some challenging climbs or descents but can be overcome without the support of mountaineering equipment. The terrain may be bumpy or lack signals. The maximum difference in height remains within 400 meters.

MEDIUM / CHALLENGING: The itinerary definitely exceeds three hours, it is complex for the difference in height that can reach 700 meters or for the length of the walk up to 6 hours, it takes place on a path with some climb or descent challenging but surmountable without the support of mountaineering equipment. The terrain may be bumpy or lack signals.

CHALLENGING: These are itineraries that require long experience, training and physical strength on the part of those who travel them. It is necessary to know how to move with skill even in dangerous terrain: screes, steep slopes or steep stretches, dense scrub, high and without references, rock passages, absence of springs. The difficulty of the terrain and the distance from the support points require total autonomy. Where indicated there may be the need to bring with you bivouac material such as the tent, bivouac bag, stove, food, requires training, energy and strong motivation.
