Free excursion on Mount Ortigara - 13 August 2019

Excursion offered by Pesavento Mountain Store, with Plateau Guides

Tuesday 13 August 2019 a new free guided excursion in the company of the Plateau Guides, offered by Pesavento Mountain Store and sponsored by the mountain clothing brand Ortovox , will take you to the discovery of Mount Ortigara.

Also known as "AlpineCalvary"among all the mountains of theAsiagoPlateau, theOrtigara is perhaps the one that most evokes the horror and tragedy of the GreatWar.
The Battle of the Ortigara,fought from 10 to 29 June 1917, is in fact one of the bloodiest clashes of the First World War,which cost the lives of thousands of soldiers.
On the top, in memory of all the Fallen, there is the famous mozza column engraved with the inscription "not to forget".

The excursion hangout is set at the Ice Stadiumat 9 a.m.
