"From the middle ages to De Andrè: illustrated story in the manner of the ancient storytellers" Roana Monday July 23, 2012

Monday July 23, 2012, at 21.00 hours at the antique sinks of Roana, will hold a special event, organized by Culture & music in a very evocative, entitled "from the middle ages to De Andrè: illustrated story in the manner of the ancient storytellers".

Successor to the art of medieval minstrels, troubadours and, earlier, of the eyid and reciters Greeks, the Storyteller moved to the square in the streets to tell with her singing ancient stories, sometimes reworked in a modern key, or facts of record, even bloody and criminal.

Sometimes the author of the verses, he accompanied the "sung" with a tool, mainly the guitar, and helped in the story with a billboard where they represented the main scenes of the story. Organizer of festivals and popular fairs, was once a popular figure.

"From the middle ages to De Andrè" wants to be not only a recovery of this traditional figure by now disappeared from our streets, but also the ability and desire to tell a story and keep listening, valuing the real human communication, in spite of virtual directory.

The songs are drawn from tradition, medieval instrumental music from the Neapolitan tradition and the repertories of De Andrè and Branduardi, the two songwriters-minstrels of Italian music.

For these pieces were made of billboards, painted with Acrylic colours on a large canvases, which illustrate the story.

The paintings are by Angela Honey and Sara Pasha; the same Angela Honey will introduce the various narratives while Pikro Desired (vocals and flute) and Salvatore Delogu (guitar) will alternate on percussion.

Admission is free; in case of bad weather the event will take place in the sala Santa Giustina.
