On Tuesday, August 4, 2026, at 9:00 p.m., the Institute of Cimbrian Culture of Roana, in via R. Sartori, hosts an evening dedicated to mushrooms with Daniele Zovi, writer, science popularizer and former brigadier general of the Carabinieri Forestry Command, considered one of Italy's leading experts on forests and wildlife.

Born in Roana in 1952 and always deeply linked to the Plateau of the Seven Municipalities, Zovi will accompany the public on a journey to discover an essential and often little-known component of the forest. Fungi, in fact, play a fundamental role in forest ecosystems, contributing to the processes of decomposition of organic matter, the exchange of nutrients with trees and the maintenance of natural balance.

Through stories, observations and curiosities gained in a life dedicated to the study and protection of the environment, the author will offer a fascinating key to better understand the relationships that link trees, soil, mushrooms and wild animals to each other.

A meeting of great interest for nature enthusiasts, hikers, mushroom hunters and for all those who wish to learn more about the forest heritage of the Asiago Plateau.
