Guided excursions
For Friday excursions organized by the Pro Loco of Roana,on August 14, 2020 will take place the exit"High lentle, Alte erbot – Ancient contrade, Ancient Crafts".
Theguided excursion will take place from 9.30am to 1pm,departing from Piazza Santa Giustina,and will take you to the discovery of the territory, on the trail of the Cimbri and the ancient history of the country.
EXCURSION DETAILS
Walking off the usual trails, we discover ancient routes and locations with evocative names:
Snaidar, Tokkalar, Shesla, Biskale... micro-toponymistic that tells us about the life that was. Names that keep the Cimbra language alive even in today's speech, places full of charm and stori and to tell. Those stories that make history. Together, among meadows and woods, we will talk about the new and the old Roana, and how we lived in balance with the territory transforming everything into something useful for life among these mountains, crafts disappeared but sometimes rediscovered, not out of necessity but out of passion for one's heritage and his own land.
