Monday, August 9, 2021 in Cesuna di Roana awaits you "Hunting for monumental trees", an interesting and easy guided naturalistic excursion with Asiago Guide.
Walking through the fragrant pastures and colorful meadows, you will go in search of monumental trees. Plants of a certain age, shaped by time and history, which have many interesting stories to tell, precisely because they have gone through entire eras thanks to their longevity ... Stories that the guide will teach you to read between the roughness of the bark and the rustle of the foliage. Stories of men and animals, who continue to live among these mountains despite the thousand difficulties ...
Like the monuments of men, the monumental tree is at the same time an archive (botanical), a testimony (of resilience) and a reserve (of biodiversity). Recognizing monumental trees as natural assets (living architectures) means recognizing "the natural artistic heritage as anthropic artistic heritage" (Caramalli, 2008).
The excursion will begin at 9:30 am with a meeting at the cesuna square in front of the Pala Ciclamino in Via Vecchia Stazione, 9.

EXCURSION DETAILS
Difficulty: 2 on a scale from 1 (very easy) to 5 (challenging).
The route does not present particular technical difficulties, it is suitable for everyone and develops between dirt roads, mountain paths.
The difference in height uphill is less than 200 m, there are no exposed sections.
Mandatory personal equipment of mask and disinfectant gel.
