The deepest of valleys in the western part of the plateau is the Val d Assa, which originates at the passo Vezzena and heading down South to then join the Val d'astico. On the bottom of the Val d Assa, along the bed of the stream of the same name and on a rock wall in red marble, there are the petroglyphs.
Only after such an exceptional flood of 1981 revealed the engravings of this mysterious Valley, evidence of life in a harsh territory. The oldest of them dating back to the first millennium BC have more dating more uncertain. These are mainly anthropomorphic, Zoomorphic figures, teomorfe and solar symbols.
The guided tours to discover one of the extraordinary lands of thePlateau will be held during the summer for all Saturdays in July and August.
