Tuesday, December 30, there will be a guided tour through the exhibition "Men and destinies – The Russia in World War I" held at the Prison Museum in Asiago.
Themeeting with the Guide, very useful to understand fully the meaning of view and deepen different details, will start at 15.30 hours.
The ticket price is 4 euros. Students, residents of the plateau and over 65 pay a reduced price of 2 euros.
PEOPLE AND DESTINIES: RUSSIA IN WORLD WAR I
On the occasion of the centenary of the great war, Asiago has a new exhibition, consisting of paintings, posters, photographs and postcards from the collection of the Museum of contemporary history of Russia.
The exhibition "Men and destinies – The Russia in World War I", besides wanting to arouse interest in the history of a nation often forgotten by schoolbooks, it offers the important objective of preserving and consolidating the memory of historical facts lived heroic men who attended, between pain and death, to the first world war.
Images and objects of the Moscow Museum tell extraordinary realism with the daily life of the people at the front, the heartbreaking reality of POWs and fatal decisions of commanders of the Russian Imperial Army; It also addressed the theme of mercy and charity, through the memories of loving deeds of military nurses.
An opportunity to reflect on the meaning of History, of Memory and of Life itself.
