Excursion in the great war with the Asiago Plateau-Guides "The Muskets"-Monte Cengio-EARLY EVENING
The Plateau Guides offer historical-naturalistic excursion Monte Cengio, Asiago plateau, Saturday- EVENING August 9, 2014
This tour is ideal for those who want to combine a little challenging route with a visit to a place of great historical value, situated in a position from where you can admire one of the most beautiful landscapes of the entire plateau.
The excursion is considered easy walking, even by non-expert hikers.
The trail runs along the southwest side of the mountain, carved out for extended stretches in the rock, and in some places using tunnels, for about 4 miles, allowing you to get to the top of 1347.
The vertical drop of 150 meters seems not to be heard, as many points of historical interest (trenches, tunnels, gun emplacements, as well as the famous leap of the grenadiers) allow most pleasant stops and in the case of warm days in the Gallery allow you to freshen up.
The final part of Astico Valley and on to the rear which is plain all the way takes your breath away.

The Association is composed of local guides that operate on the territory of the seven Municipalities Plateau for many years. Membership to the site by members of the group ensures an intimate knowledge of the proposals and a deeply respectful approach towards the environment and its history. Our guides are professionals recognized and entered in the register of the Vicenza province; they propose to accompany busloads of people on excursions and tours drive on the territory, as required by regional law No. 33 of 11/4/2002.
