Excursion in the great war with Asiago plateau-"Strefexpedition: Monte Cengio"
REVIEW the plateau at war: 100 YEARS LATER
This tour is ideal for those who want to combine a challenging little path with the visit of a high historical value, situated in a location from which you can admire one of the most beautiful landscapes of the entire plateau.
The hike is considered easy, even walking from inexperienced walkers.
The Trail extends along the Southwest mountainous massif, dug for long stretches in the rock and in some places using galleries, for about 4 km, allowing you to reach the altitude of 1347.
The vertical drop of 150 meters seems not to be heard, as many points of historical interest (trenches, tunnels and artillery, in addition to the famous leap of grenadiers) pleasant and stops in case of warm days in the Gallery steps allow you to cool off.
The final part of Astico Valley and on the back of plain which offers all the way takes your breath away.

Meeting scheduled for the hours 09.00 from the bar at the station near the entrance to the forecourt of the ice stadium of Asiago;

The Association "Plateau" is composed by local guides who operate on the territory of the plateau of the seven Municipalities for many years. Membership in place by Assembly components ensures an intimate knowledge of the proposals and a deeply respectful approach towards the environment and its history. Our guides are mountain professionals recognized and entered in the register of the Vicenza province; they propose to accompany groups of people hiking and guided visits in the territory, as required by L.R. n. 33 of 11/4/2002 and according to the laws of albi professional fan part.
