Excursion destination: Tanzerloch to Camporovere di Roana
How is a legend born? In this case we are sure that this was created to keep children especially away from this place, so fascinating and mysterious that it has left its mark on the imagination of entire generations: the Tanzerloch, the busto of witches' dances, the famous karst chasm of Camporovere, the protagonist of stories handed down for centuries in the Cimbrian community of the Plateau.
Through paths immersed in the nature of Valdassa we reach this place full of charm, discovering the different versions of the legend and their link with the daily life of the past.
The legends of Tanzerloch will help us to understand how the Cimbrian communities lived and how the landscape of the Plateau has changed over the centuries, such as pastures for flocks have been reconquered by the forest...
Even the Cimbrian name of Camporovere, Kamparuube, will accompany us on this journey through language, culture and territory, to discover the deepest roots of the Plateau of the Seven Municipalities.

This event is part of the cultural event Hoga Zait, the Cimbrian festival co-financed by the municipal administration of Roana and organized in collaboration with the pro loco of Camporovere.
📈DIFFICULTY: we assign difficulty 2 on a scale from 1 (very easy) to 5 (challenging)
The route does not present any particular technical difficulties, is suitable for everyone and develops between dirt roads and mountain paths and some short stretches of paved road with little traffic. The uphill elevation gain is less than 220 m, there are no exposed sections.
🎒TO BRING WITH YOU: mountain boots, layered clothing suitable for the mountain climate (long trousers are strongly recommended), waterproof jacket, backpack with water for the duration of the excursion, a small snack such as dried fruit, any sunscreen, sunglasses, hat.
