Excursion between history and nature, a look at the plain at sunset, dinner on the way and return in the moonlight.

DESTINATION: Monte Corno  - Asiago Plateau and the Seven Municipalities (VI)

Step by step we prepare to climb to the top of the Raitertal mountain and while we are surrounded by a wonderful forest of beech and fir trees we pass through places of historical importance. 

From the kitchens of the partisan unitsto the starvation pit. 

We then reach Cima Fonte where a view of the teeming Po Valley will make us appreciate even more the well-being that nature and the vast scenery can offer us.

The experience continues along mountain paths that cross woods and pastures until it leads us at sunset to Monte Mazze where other interesting views will also open up towards the places of the First World War.

 We will stop for dinner at the Biancoia Refuge for an exquisite typical menu:

• Gargati alla baita (meat and mushroom ragout)
• Goulash with polenta 
• Wine, water, coffee

The return to the cars will be for a short stretch of dirt road in the moonlight.

DIFFICULTY: we assign a difficulty of 3 on a scale from 1 (very easy) to 5 (challenging)

The route is a loop and does not present any particular technical difficulties. It develops between mountain paths and dirt roads and a short stretch of asphalt road with little traffic. The difference in height is less than 350 m, there are no exposed sections.

WHAT TO BRING WITH YOU: mountain boots, layered clothing suitable for the mountain climate, waterproof jacket, backpack with water for the duration of the excursion, a small snack such as dried fruit, headlamp possibly with a steady red light (please do not use it). 

COST: €15 for the guided excursion per person, €10 for children under 15 and season ticket holders.

DINNER PRICE: 28€ per person for the above menu at Baita Monte Corno. 

The fee is to be paid directly to the venue on the same evening. Dinner, being in progress, is to be considered mandatory.

MEETING POINT: 5.00 p.m. at Monte Corno. Precise information will be sent to those booked the day before the event.

We start on foot from the meeting place.
