In May of 1916 with the start of the spring offensive the Italians are forced to retreat until they reach the margins of the plateau. Here the fierce resistance of the grenadiers of Sardinia have stopped the enemy from the conquest of the plains. The area was then fortified with a huge work building tunnels and overhanging passages on the Val D'astico below.
The flare of the moon that illuminates the mule track will make this historical experience in the mountains even more magical.
Breathtaking views illuminated by the lunar flare and the incredible work of the soldiers, is what will remain impressed after this experience!

The route develops between mountain paths, dirt roads and mule tracks that develop between the cenges of Monte Cengio. The climb is less than 300 m, there are exposed sections.
