Artemusica culture-inauguration of the Summer 2017-Concerto for violin and piano-Thomas the Graiff, piano-Pètur Björnsson, violin. Music by Mozart, Beethoven

Thirteen years of music and culture in the municipality of Roana, the mark of the best talent in the national and international scene: this, in short, the centerpiece of the new edition of the summer concert season of the Association one Artemusica culture. The opening concert is entrusted to Thomas the Graiff, piano, and violin, Pètur Bjornsson, will be held on Wednesday, 19 July at 21.00 in the Sala s. Giustina di Roana. The program includes music by Mozart and Beethoven, in more detail:

Mozart's Sonata k. 481 can be rightly considered among the masterpieces of the viennese composer's maturity. The first time stands for the richness of the subject material and the exuberant energy that pervades it. In the second half, the violin is assigned a long melody steeped in feeling and spirituality, while the final changes to the climate virtuoso outbursts, playful, not immune from piano concertos.

Stravinsky completed the drafting of the Suite Italienne in 1933: it is a transcript of some pieces of music for the Ballet Pulcinella, itself based on music attributed to Pergolesi and transformed by the tonal and harmonic game stravinskijano. For this transcription, Stravinsky availed himself of the advice of the virtuoso Samuel Dushkin. The result was a writing of great brilliance and Polish.

Beethoven's "Kreutzer" sonata is a work of great size, and impressive and almost symphonic contrasts: a first net than ever, are battling it out on the expansive lyricism Andante with variations and unstoppable energy of Early final, which dissolves the initial tensions in a vital wave. Long forgotten, also because of its complexity and difficulty, this Sonata was rediscovered by Clara Schumann and returned in vogue in the late nineteenth century thanks to the novel by Tolstoy.

At the end of the event followed by light refreshments.
As always admission is free.
