On Sunday, April 28 , 2024, at 11.00 a.m., the inauguration of the renovated Cuchi Museum will be held in Treschè-Cesuna di Roana. This event marks the completion of a significant renovation project, intended to enhance one of the most peculiar and fascinating collections of the Asiago 7 Municipalities Plateau: that of terracotta whistles.

The Valente family, custodians of this impressive collection of about 12,000 pieces, of which 4,000 are on display in the museum, has in fact collected whistles from different Italian regions and from distant countries such as Peru, Mexico, Russia, Turkey and Poland. Some of the pieces on display were created by master craftsmen and painters of the Italian twentieth century, including prominent figures such as Casorati, Laterza and Bonaldi.

These objects represent a fundamental part of the cultural and historical heritage of the area, showing the evolution of the art of whistles from the work of elderly artisans to that of young contemporary artists.

The museum has recently undergone major renovation works, financed by the municipal administration with an investment of about 60 thousand euros. These funds were used for the renovation of the walls on the ground floor, the installation of a new lighting system and the reorganization of the interior spaces, thus ensuring a better use of the works.

The inauguration of the Cuchi Museum will be attended by municipal and regional authorities.

Everyone is invited to participate in this cultural celebration, which not only recognizes the artistic and historical value of the Cuchi, but also their role in the cultural fabric of the Plateau.
