DESTINATION:  Rubbio di Lusiana-Conco - Plateau of the Seven Municipalities (VI) 

Have you ever seen a wild animal in the wild? And do you perceive the sense of absolute freedom it conveys? 

This is the right opportunity! We will have the honour of accompanying you through the pastures and woods of Rubbio, to discover a wonderful, hidden and wild world. We could spot roe deer, mouflons, buzzards and tawny owls with a regal flight and observe the microcosm of the alpine pools that host, for example, alpine  newts.

At sunset we stop for dinner at Malga Cimo where we can taste the genuine flavors of the mountains with a menu consisting of: 

• Non-alcoholic or alcoholic aperitif with pear, speck and honey
• Main course with dandelion strudel, sautéed potatoes, stewed bacon and fried eggs
• Dessert to choose from: Yogurt with fresh fruit / Carropino cheesecake (caramel and pine nuts) / Greek cake
• water, wine, coffee and corrections

The return along a simple dirt road will immerse us in the nocturnal atmosphere among the calls of the tawny owls.

As always, the excursion will take place in a respectful way, not only of the wildlife but of the entire Altopianese territory.

DIFFICULTY: we assign a difficulty of 3 on a scale from 1 (very easy) to 5 (challenging)

The route is a loop and does not present any particular technical difficulties, there are no exposed sections. It develops between mountain paths and dirt roads. The difference in altitude is less than 300 m

WHAT TO BRING WITH YOU:TO TAKE WITH YOU: mountain boots, layered clothing suitable for the mountain climate possibly inconspicuous, waterproof jacket, backpack with water for the duration of the excursion (at least 1 liter), possibly a small snack such as dried fruit, sunglasses, hat, headlamp (possibly with steady red light), binoculars if necessary.

COST: €15 for the guided excursion, €10 for children under 15 and season ticket holders.

DINNER COST: 20€ per person for the above menu.

MEETING POINT: 5.30 p.m. in Rubbio (municipality of Conco-Lusiana) | Directions to the exact meeting point will be communicated via message. There are no facilities (WC - refreshment) at the starting point.
