Friday 30 December 2022 in Asiago there will be an interesting cultural-historical meeting with presentation of the book "Lexicon of the Venetian mountains in the contemporary age" with the author Filiberto Agostini.

The meeting will begin at 17:00 at the Council Chamber of the Town Hall of Asiago.

Lexicon of the Venetian mountains in the contemporary age

The historical survey developed in this volume goes forward, with an interdisciplinary perspective, into the many problems that have affected the Venetian mountains in the last century, from the Great War to the Vaia storm of 2018. 

The Lexicon provides for the deepening of undoubtedly challenging topics - of an economic, social, political, identity nature - collected in about twenty specific lemmas, in fact pieces of a Venetian mountain reality - Lessinia, Altopiano dei Sette Comuni, Grappa Massif, Dolomites - which recalls old and new issues: for example, collective property, migration, war, environment and landscape, borders, literature and identity, gender history, local institutions, parks and natural areas, tourism and storm Vaia. 

The volume, accompanied by images, aims to reach not only specialists in the historical discipline, but also the world of school with the primary objective of strengthening knowledge and preserving the "memory" of the mountains, safeguarding nature and educating respect for the environment.
