Sunday, July 24 , 2022, at 21.00, at the Cathedral of San Matteo di Asiago, will take place "ISTE EST IOHANNES", meditation of the Gospel according to John through Gregorian Chant, with the Gregorian Singers directed by Maestro Fulvio Rampi.
GREGORIAN SINGERS
The Cantori Gregoriani are a vocal group with manly voices that since 1986 has dedicated itself exclusively to the study and dissemination of Gregorian chant. Made up entirely of specialists, the ensemble bases its executive proposal on semiological investigation, that is, on the study of ancient manuscript sources dating back to the X-XI centuries.
The interpretative proposal of the group intends to highlight, through the instruments of semiology, the expressive power of Gregorian chant, that is, the correct musical representation of the ancient exegetical tradition of sacred texts.
Founder and director of the group is Fulvio Rampi, doctor in Gregorian chant at the school of Luigi Agustoni, professor of Prepolyphony at the Conservatory of Turin, former maestro di Cappella of the Cathedral of Cremona, now director of the Sicardo Choir of Cremona.
