Thursday, September 22 , 2022 the traditional transhumance returns: the cows will return to their shelters in the plains, after spending the summer on the mountain pastures on the Asiago plateau. This is the so-called "demontication".

Between Wednesday 21 and Thursday 22 September the herds will be transported from Marcesina to Gallium.

Here, Thursday 22, at 15:00, will be held the meeting of the Malghesi, who will  stop in Piazza Italia, for a brief greeting to the population.

From here, then, the cows will head towards Asiago, where they will be gathered near the Snoopy disco, from which they will leave the next day for their return to the plains.

Transhumance is a folk tradition with ancient roots, always very much felt, which every year allows you to rediscover the traditions and customs of the past.
