Have you ever tried to immerse yourself completely in a beech forest?
During the winter, when the resistant leaves of the beech tree leave its branches and are covered by a blanket of white snow, walking in the beech forest becomes a wonderful experience. You can breathe in the scent of the forest and be enchanted by the play of light that the sun's rays create.
The beech tree has always been an important tree in the lives of men. Its wood is used to heat people, to produce excellent coal, to build oars for the Republic of Venice and .... the "Cimbrian coffee" as our guide Emanuele calls it, was produced. Are you curious to know how it was done?
Reservations are mandatory.
In the event that there is not enough snow, you will proceed on foot without the aid of snowshoes.
DIFFICULTY: we assign a difficulty of 3 on a scale from 1 (very easy) to 5 (challenging)
The route is a loop and does not present any particular technical difficulties. It develops between mountain paths and dirt roads. The difference in height is less than 250 m, there are no exposed sections.
WHAT TO BRING WITH YOU: waterproof mountain boots, layered clothing suitable for the mountain climate, waterproof jacket, water or hot tea for the duration of the excursion, a small snack such as dried fruit, sunglasses, hat, gloves.
COST: €15 for the guided excursion per person, €10 for children under 15 and season ticket holders.
Snowshoes and poles can be rented: €10 per person.
MEETING POINT: 9.30 a.m. at the Rifugio Biancoia ski lift car park - Via Biancoia, 36062 Lusiana Conco VI
We start on foot from the meeting place.
The meeting place may be subject to change depending on weather conditions and the presence of ice/snow, this will be communicated to those booked the day before the event.
