Meeting on landscapes of the great war-Cesuna, Asiago plateau
Thursday 23 August 2018 to Cesuna, Andrea Contrini, an interesting Conference, will talk about the great war theater locations from Lake Garda to the Pasubio, portraits in the shots published in his book "Echoes in the Silence".
The meeting will be held at 20.45at the Biblioteca m. Rigoni Stern, and will be an excellent opportunity for fans to meet and exchange views with the photographer.

ECHOES OF SILENCE
Southern Trentino was one of the most contested of the Italian-Austrian front during World War I. A century later, the rugged trails of fighting mark yet the landscape, echoing the drama of the past in the silence of nature. Drawing on diaries and recollections of Italian and austro-Hungarian fighters, Andrea Contrini embarked on a journey to discover that stretch from the front, showing through photography as the passage of time has turned the battlefields in places of peace. "Echoes of silence" is the result of a personal quest that creates a bridge between historical memory and current landscape, thus developing a fresh perspective in the context of the first world war centenary. The editorial project offers nearly two hundred color photographs, divided into chapters with geographical order: from Mediterranean regions of Lake Garda up at high mountain altitudes del Pasubio where he fought the "war", through the Baldo massif, the Val di Gresta, Vallagarina, Vallarsa, the monte Zugna and small Dolomites.
