Typical cuisine with show about food-related stories of the Alpine troops of World War I and conviviality, at the restaurant "Rubens Stube Fest", October 22, 2016
The great war was a period certainly tragic and stiff, yet right in the middle of that hell, soldiers and civilians were able to find a way to have fun and forget for a moment all the fears and the heaviness of the war. And the food, the wine, the singing were a lifeline for many of them.
The actors Diego Thigh and Elisa Pistis will bring to the restaurant Rubens Stube Fest by Rubbioon theAsiago plateau, a unique way of telling the great war, creating together with the staff of Rubens in the exhibition "Small delights of great war" — five themed dinners with narratives, readings and songs that will accompany us until the end of the centenary in 2018.
Each time will be revived some of the friendliest and ironic adventures related to the food, the wine, the student spirit and love of life that took place during those terrible years and that allowed those men to overcome the difficulties of the war.
The first date of Saturday, October 22, 2016, is based on stories goliardic degli Alpini during World War I and during the months immediately following.
Dinner will begin at 20.30 hours, please be on time.
Sunday, October 23, at 12.30, will be a replica of the show for lunch.
