"The British line on the plateau"-Excursion about places of the great war on the Asiago plateau-May 20, 2017
Saturday, May 20, 2017 the Lusiana Museum organizes another adventurous literary excursion about places of the great war.
We will visit the Allied lines of resistance and Ospedaletti provided with area, then we will move towards Grandeur for the visit to the local British war cemetery.
II forest surrounding the plain of Grandeur, mysterious and untouched for decades, memories and testimonies of the largest war ever fought on these areas. ln this theatre of World War I met soldiers from four different countries: Italians, Frenchmen and Englishmen, together against the austro-Hungarianarmy.
A suggestive experience, through a real leap forward in time, will take you along trenches, trenches and tunnels hidden and relive firsthand the places where written the history of the 20th century.
PROGRAM
- 08.45 meet at the parking lot of the "golf Club Asiago"
- 09.00 departure guided tour through the front lines of resistance and Allied "Sanremo"
- 12.00 Return to the car park of the "Golf Club Asiago" and transfer to Grandeur for the visit to the British cemetery
- 12.45 End of the excursion. Possible lunch granted affiliated clubs of San Lorenzo
