A week to see the mammals at the natural history museum "Patrizio Rigoni" of Asiago and participate in the photo contest for the best shot!
Even the Educational nature museum Patrizio Rigoni di Asiago is participating in the initiative I ENCHANTSwith a week devoted to mammals Italians who passed tests such as the evolutionary pressure, ice ages, the natural disasters, the coexistence with man, coming down to us.
In particular, in the week from October 27 to November 5, the Museo Naturalistico di Asiago will propose a series of guided tours inside of its rooms on this issue.
The guide will take you to the discovery of mammal species found on theplateau of Asiago, illustrating their habits and signs of their presence in the wild.
Some specimens of mammals will be exposed for the photographic Safari to M ' charms.
Sunday, 5 November, in addition, there will be the creative workshop "discovering red squirrel". After a brief description of his habits, children can build his "home" and a diorama that will be preserved as a memento of the experience.

THE PHOTO SAFARI
For its 9th Edition, this year I CHARMS offers an activity aimed at young people (under 35): a photographic Safari leading young teriologi hunting on mammals within the Italian museums. The aim is to introduce younger audiences to the themes of museology and mammals, while stimulating participation other initiatives by 2017, which will be held in those museums captivates Me.
what to do:
The "Safari" is to visit one or more Italian natural history museums, looking for specimens belonging to species of mammals within the layout and "capturing" with unoscatto.
CATEGORIES AND FEATURES IMAGE:
Two categories: "communication" and "beauty".
In the category "communication", the photo will be rewarded for expressing, in an original and creative way, realistic or symbolic 9th Edition m theme charms: the Italian mammals.
In the category of "beauty" will be rewarded theoriginality, aesthetics and technical quality/composition.
The species captured must be representative of the Italian fauna. A list of the mammal species present in Italy is available on the Association's website at the address
HOW TO PARTICIPATE
Participation in the competition is free of charge and is open to all young people (under 35). Each participant can select a maximum of three photographs to be sent to the email address with the subject: SafariATIt_2017
The rules of admission of the photographs are simple:
1) the photo must be taken in a public collection.
2) the species must be clearly identifiable from the photo, without the need for additional clarifications;
3) are valid photographs that portray taxidermied animals (stuffed animals), prepared in alcohol, skeletons or parts of it (eg. skulls), prepared leather and dioramas;
4) images can be color or b/w with vertical and horizontal shots to
maximum resolution of 300 dpi and in JPEG (. jpg);
5) are not accepted works partially and/or entirely to the computer;
6) images do not meet specifications will not be considered;
7) for each photo, bring the following mandatory information:
a. full name and age of the participant;
b. title of the photo;
c. represented species (common name, in Italian);
d. Museum and city where the photo was taken.
Will be admitted to the selection images sent between 24 hours and hours of 27/10/2017 5/11/2017 's 00.
Photos of a participant need not be sent in a single solution. Pecificati contents different from those in regulation photographs representatives will be excluded from the competition.
JURY
The jury composed of 5 members of the CoGit and the 5 members of the Office communication Atit will express an irrevocable decision on vote for each category provided for in the regulation.
The photographs will be evaluated on the basis of the following criteria:
– originality;
– creativity;
– quality of photography;
– consistent with the purposes and the theme of the competition.
AWARDS
Will be awarded the first two photographs categorized for each category in the competition. At the end of the Safari, will be announced the winner, the publication of his picture on the website of ATIt and a volume of the series Fauna of Italy in its selection and depending on market availability.
COPYRIGHT AND USE OF MATERIAL IN COMPETITION
The rights on the photographs remain the sole property of the author who produced them, who shall authorize the use for events or publications related to the competition itself and for activities related to institutional or promotional purposes Italian Teriologica Association and still without the profit motive.
