Made in Malga 2019 in Asiago: two weekends dedicated to the best mountain cheeses

Made in Malga, the national event dedicated to mountain cheeses, returns to Asiago with a great news:this year there will be two festive weekends, from 6 to 8 and from 13 to 15  September 2019,for twice the fun and taste!

The event par excellence dedicated to tasting and discovering the cheeses of Malaga will animate the old town of Asiago with tastings, tastings and meetings in the shops, bars, restaurants and hotels of the City.

Mountain cheeses will be the common thread of two weekends to spend in the name of taste, flavors and typical products of both our Plateau and malghe outside the region, which again this year will be our guests.

Made in Malga 2019 caters to all lovers of alpine cheese and confirms a pleasant opportunity to discover "high-altitude" flavors and tastes: in fact, the event can participate exclusively in the productions of the mountain farming (produced above 600 meters above the time).

But Made in Malga is not just cheese: during the two weekends of the event, in fact, will be organized several side initiatives, such as workshops, excursions,meetings and live music, for two ends week of pure fun!


MADE IN MALAGA 2019 PROGRAM

MOUNTAIN WINE FESTIVAL - 6/8 September 2019

On the occasion of Made in Malga the City of Asiago will host the fifth edition of theMountain Wine Festival,the Mountain Wine Show where the public will have the opportunity to learn about and taste more than 200 Italian and foreign wines vineyards grown in mountainous areasand, in extreme conditions or in steep sloping conditions. The tasting counters, like last year's edition, will be placed in the green and flowery spaces of the Gardens of Piazza Carli. High-altitude wines produced in Italy, Austria, Spain, France, Germany, Georgia, Lebanon, Slovenia, Uruguay and Argentina are present.

    The soils of the Aosta Valley have strong slopes, which over time has forced the winemakers to terraces and dry stone walls. 85% of the vineyards are red berry grape vines. In combination tasty cheeses of the pastures of the Aosta Valley.

  • 2:30 p.m. - Wines of Georgia
    Georgia is considered the home of wine: it has been producing it for 8000 years. The grapes are mostly native. The most cultivated are the Red Saperavi and the white Rkatsitell. The winemaking technique is very special: large terracotta amphorae are buried to allow first fermentation and then the aging of wines, both white and red. In combination a selection of bubbles classic high-altitude method.

  • 16:30 - Extreme wines of the Italian Islands and 4 aging of the Asiago PDO
    They are wines from heroic viticulture. Cultivations in steep terrain, terraces overlooking the sea, harvests made in difficult conditions. In the Italian islands the vine is testimony to small microcosms surrounded by the sea where you grow ancient vines from which you get unique wines that are real masterpieces for concentration and particularity of aromas. The Asiago "Product of the Mountain" is the traditional cheese of the Asiago Plateau. Fresh, Mezzano, Old and Stravecchio, discovering the thousand shades that make it unique and inimitable.     They are heroic wines, children of fatigue, sweat, industriousness of man: produced in areas often unknown, geographically imperious, with grapes sometimes grown in tiny tissues of land torn from the mountains, the rocks, the sea. From Trentino-Alto Adige to Sardinia, from the Aosta Valley to the island of Pantelleria. The Parmigiano Reggiano product of Montagna was born in that part of Appennino that runs between Parma and Bologna to the Rhine River. is the most important PDO product obtained in the mountains.

    An itinerary between centuries-old wineries and unique flavors of a surprising Spain. To the north with elegant wines and savory Galicia. For the second year, theMountain Film Fest Plateau 7 Municipalitiesreturns to Asiago, the appointment with the world of the mountain seen through the eyes of the

MOUNTAIN BEER CUP

13 - 14 - 15 September Gardens of Piazza Carli, Asiago
Simultaneously with Made in Malga, from 13 to 15 September the 1st edition of theMountain Beer Cupwill be held, the "City of Asiago" award for the best mountain beers.
A jury of industry experts will taste and evaluate the beers in competition.
In the Gardens of Piazza Carli a selection of mountain breweries will make you taste their productions.
The event also has a calendar of workshops with insights on the topic with the combination of mountain cheeses.
