MAY 24 ceremony with the President of the Republic MATTARELLA in ASIAGO

Memorial Service in remembrance of entry of Italy into World War I, in the presence of the President of the Republic Sergio Mattarella, Asiago, May 24, 2016

Tuesday, May 24, 2016 will be visiting Asiago the President of the Republic, Hon. Sergio Mattarella. The President of the Republic has accepted the invitation of the City of Asiago to solemnly celebrate the anniversary of May 24. The presence of President Mattarella will give maximum value to recurrence and will seal in the authoritative way the many events planned to celebrate the anniversary of the first world war centenary.

"Asiago is preparing to welcome the President of the Republic, Sergio Mattarella, who next Tuesday will visit our city. The presence of the highest office in our land will pay tribute to institutional which was the scene of the devastation linked to World War I. I believe that this represents the highest moment and meaningful Memorial path linked to this sad event that saw our Plateau involved as no other locations in Italy. The proximity of the institutions to our land makes us proud and helps us to keep alive the memory of the many fallen who gave to the country to build a better and more just world, a world of peace and brotherhood among peoples"-says the Mayor of Asiago Avv. Roberto Rigoni Stern.

The official ceremony open to the public will take place at 11.30 a.m. in Piazza Carli in the presence of numerous authorities invited the various associations weapon, schoolchildren in Asiago which will welcome the President with songs inspired by the great war.
