From 5 December 2026 to 6 January 2027, the center of Gallio dresses up for the 28th edition of the Christmas Markets, the oldest Christmas market in the Asiago Plateau Seven Municipalities, as well as one of the most representative events of the Christmas period in the area.
An event that, year after year, has been able to carve out a special place in the calendar of festivities, preserving the charm of small mountain markets, where the pleasure of browsing the stalls is intertwined with the discovery of the traditions and productions of the area.
The event will be framed by Piazza Italia and the new Piazza Giardini, in the heart of the town. Here, among the characteristic wooden chalets, a small Christmas world will take shape made up of handicrafts, original creations, gift ideas and typical local products. A path to explore without haste, dwelling on the details of an artifact, letting yourself be intrigued by a gastronomic specialty or looking for a different gift than usual.
Visitors will be accompanied by Christmas music and the scents of hot drinks and holiday specialties, while moments of musical entertainment will help to animate the afternoons, making a walk among the houses even more enjoyable.
It is precisely this intimate dimension, so linked to the character of mountain villages, that makes the Gallio Christmas Markets an opportunity to experience the holidays with a different rhythm, away from the frenzy of cities and large shopping centers. An opportunity to rediscover the pleasure of small things, including Christmas shopping, genuine flavors and glimpses of the town that, in the winter season, acquire an even more special charm.
The markets will initially open on the weekends of 5-6, 12-13 and 19-20 December, and then accompany the holiday period daily from Thursday 24 December 2026 until Wednesday 6 January 2027, the day of the Epiphany.
From Saturday 5 December, to further enrich the atmosphere of the holidays there will also be an ice skating rink, specially set up in Piazza Giardini, where adults and children can have fun skating outdoors, in the heart of the town. An additional attraction that will make visiting the markets even more pleasant and fun.
