On Saturday, August 29, 2026 , an exciting trekking outing with donkeys is scheduled to Monte Cengio, a place rich in history that allows us to observe unique views, from the Berici Hills to the Euganean Hills, up to the most remote points of the Venetian plain.

We will leave with the friends of Donkeys on the way from the square of the Al Granatiere refuge and, through the mule tracks that connected Monte Cengio to Fort Corbin, we will take a loop tour through the beech and fir woods that surround the area.

During the excursion, children can take turns riding donkeys, where the route allows it, while adults can lead donkeys through the halter.

The excursion will start at 09.30 and will end at 12.30.

DEPARTURE: 09.30 a.m. at the square of the "Al Granatiere" refuge

ELEVATION GAIN: 150 m

LENGTH: about 7 km in total

TO TAKE ON THE EXCURSION: we recommend mountain shoes, long pants, layered clothing, hat and sunscreen. Do not forget water for the entire duration of the excursion as there are no water supply points along the way.
