Guided excursion through the Big in the Altopiano di Asiago-"Strong Verena: sunset with dinner FOLLOWING the feeding of the SOLDIER"-by the Association "Plateau" Guides in the plateau of Asiago and 7 Municipalities
HISTORICAL HIKE at sunset with dinner FOLLOWING The soldier's POWER-
Strong Verena,l 24 May 1915, left two shots ringing, metallic, lacerating that crossed the sky, singing the battle cry! The Italy entered the war against former ally Austria. The Spitz Verle responds and defended the Fort Verena firing some 20 shots but nothing, the shots too short not reaching the vanquisher of the plateau, place up there, too!
The situation at Fort Verle wasn't among the best and the Giebermann after cashing about 130 shots from 280 mm gave the order to abandon the Fort.
But there was actually the need to make such a choice?
EXCURSION PROGRAM:
Departure scheduled at 17.00 from the Bar at the station near the entrance of the Stadium Forecourt Asiago ice.

READING The DEGREE Of Difficulty:
EASY: The route takes place on forest roads, dirt roads or easy trails always well stated and without orientation problems in case of fog or bad weather. Challenging: Are routes that require extended training, experience and physical strength on the part of those who follow them. You must know how to move with skill even in dangerous terrain: steep scree, steep slopes or dense Bush, tall and unreferenced, rock steps, lack of sources. The difficulty of the terrain and the distance from reference points require a total autonomy. Where indicated there may be a need to bring the following material to bivouac as the tent, bivouac sack, stove, food, requires training, energy and motivation.
