Traditional pilgrimage to Mount Ortigara

On the weekend of July 13 and 14, 2019,an important event will take place on theAsiago Plateau in commemoration of the fallen of the GreatWar: the National Pilgrimage to the Ortigara.

The annual national pilgrimage is organized in memory and honor of the fallen, missing and maimed of the First World War and attracts every year many people from all over the Plateau, Veneto and beyond.

Saturday 13 July in Asiago will be held at around 15.00 the surrender of honors to the labaro of the National Alpine Association, with subsequent flag raising and departure of the parade in the direction of the MilitarySacrament.

OnSunday, July 14th, at 10:00a.m., the Holy Mass will be celebrated at the Mozza Column of the Ortigara, with the intervention of the authorities, laying the laurel wreath and surrendering the honours to the Labaro of the Alps.

Saturday, July 13:

3 p.m.
Clustering at the ice stadium forecourt and adjacent Millepini Park

3:30 p.m.
The surrender of honors to the Labaro of the National Alpine Association, the flag-raising and the departure of the parade in the direction of the Military Sacrament. Crown deposition, return to the forecourt of the Ice Stadium and flag.

Sunday, July 14:

7.00 a.m. - ASIAGO
Piazza II Risorgimento in Asiago: departure for Mount Ortigara of the Labaro del. Naz. Alpine and The Seal Banners.

9.45am - MONTE ORTIGARA q.2105
At the Mozza Column formation of the party, surrendered honors to the Labaro of the. National Alpine.

10 a.m. - MONTE ORTIGARA
At the Mozza Column, a celebration of mass concelebrated by the Alpine Don Rino Massella and Father Milan Pregelj.  At the end of the intervention of the Authorities, deposition of the Crown to the Mozza Column, surrender of the honors to the Labaro of the National Alpine Association and deposition of the Laurel Crown on the Austro-Hungarian Cippo.

11 a.m. - MONTE LOZZE
Mass celebrated by Don Federico for those who can not climb the Cippi, with the presence of the Valbronzale Choir of Hospital valsugana.

12.30pm - MONTE LOZZE
Blessed relic deposition Don Gnocchi in the Church of Mount Lozze.

Notes

- One-way lane until 1 p.m. Piazza Saline-Pass Narrow-Field Skinny, then from that hour the one-way is reversed.
- Exemption from noon on Thursday 11am until 24.00 on Sunday 14.
- From Thursday 11 to Sunday 14 prohibition of transit and stop for campers and trucks from Piazzale delle Saline to Piazzale di Passo Strait.
- Parking of Piazzale di Passo Strait reserved for coaches, coaches and permits.
