Saturday 6 August 2022 from 9.30 to 16.00
GOAL: Monte Verena - Plateau of the Seven Municipalities
During this excursion we will be accompanied in our ascent by lush forests of fir and larch and then by expanses of rhododendrons and mountain pine, houses of different wild animals that we will get to know thanks to the observation of the signs of their presence, off the beaten track. In front of us will open extraordinary views ranging from the Venetian lagoon to the Swiss peaks, finally reaching the top of Verena (2020m) to visit the ruins of the homonymous Fort, from which the first cannon shot of the Great War started.
The guide, starting from an analysis of the landscape, will take you on a journey through history to discover how the First World War changed this territory and the lives of its people.
