New year's concert with the choir Bassano to Venice, January 5, 2016

Tuesday, January 5, 2016, Conco, Bassano Choir will perform in an immersive and exciting concert of good wishes for the new year.

The exhibition will take place at the Parish Church of Conco, on the plateau of Asiago, and will begin at 20.30 hours.

It is an opportunity to give the Welcome al 2016 and Exchange new year's greetings to the rhythm of music.

CHORUS BASSANO

Born in 1948 as Chorus CAI Marostica, then Chorus Monte Grappa of ANA Bassano, is one of the historical Italian alpine choirs and popular.  The training, conducted among others by master Marco Antonio Piotto, Giancarlo Star, Fabio Crestani, Sbordone, Filiberto Zanella, boasts an activity of about 1500 concerts in Italy and all over Europe, some important television and radio success (for Radio Switzerland Strasbourg, ORTF, RAIUNO, Sky), various awards (gold medal and first prize in Rome [1961], 6th at the Guido d'arezzo [1964] and others) and meetings with prominent figures throughout its history and five recordings, two of which with EMI.

The renewal of the workforce in 1995, relaunch the activities of the choir bassanese that takes the name of Choir Bassano. Open seasons in a new tour in Italy, Slovakia, Argentina, Brazil, France, Germany, Romania, Hungary and Greece and some television appearances (Raiuno, SKY, Venetian Network).

The Repertoire, progressively wider and wider, includes choral singing genres of popular inspiration veneto and European, Alpine chant and song copyrights.  Within the choir were born original pieces, become famous like "and spins that you run" of the late m. Chapman (1921-2010), and other arrangements that are regularly sung by Italian choirs.

On the occasion of the 1000-year history of the host city, the choir organizes spectacular Bassano In singing, Choir Festival of 10 hours (14.30-0.30 at night) now in its 8th Edition. The initiative represents one of the most significant moments of the manifestations bassanesi and a unique source of interrelationships with choral groups in Italy and Europe.

Recent history sees the celebration of the choir for its sixty years of activity. Is the occasion for a series of festive events such as the Choral Triptych "Autumn", with the participation of Bepi De Marzi and choir SAT in Trento, an audience with Pope Benedict XVI and the publication of the book "Sixty an de cante in Bassan", a Bible of 200 pages that tells of reality bassanese from late ' 40; the proceeds from the sale of the last CD was donated to the Department of blood donors ANA Montegrappa, the AIDO and ADMO.

In 2009 the choir Bassano was awarded the "Premio Città di Bassano" in recognition of the intense activity. The same year he is constituted as A.P.S. (Associazione di Promozione Sociale) to meet the increasing requests for intervention in the social area of the territory.   In 2010, as part of the celebrations of 150 years of the unification of Italy, organized the exhibition "by Venice to the present day", under the auspices of the Committee of 150 years, the region of Veneto and Minister of youth.
