Event on the occasion of Vèrben: a train of colors
There was a time, not too remote, when mountains and cities were really far away. A distance that today seems ridiculous... but, the absence of motorized vehicles and the smallness of the road network made it difficult to travel a few kilometers for our mountain people.
In a suggestive atmosphere that recalls nights of other times we move in the dark with the dim light of the lanterns.
Step by step following the ancient route of the Vaca Mòra da Canove to Cesuna we discover stories of travelers, workers, soldiers and many curiosities about the route of the old Rocchette-Asiago Railway.
The excursion is free, offered by the Municipality of Roana.
Reservations are required.
Mandatory personal equipment of mask and disinfectant gel.
DIFFICULTY: We assign a difficulty 2 on a scale from 1 (very easy) to 5 (challenging)
The route is ring and does not present any particular technical difficulties. It develops on the Old Railway track. The uphill difference is less than 200 m, there are no exposed sections.
TO TAKE WITH you: mountain boots, layered clothing suitable for the mountain climate, waterproof jacket, water for the duration of the excursion (at least 1 liter), a small snack such as dried fruit, cap, gloves.
